  • Fatty Acid Methyl Esters

Fatty acid methyl esters are obtained via the transesterification of fat with methanol or the esterification of fatty acids with the same. They are good solvents for inks and polymers and are being widely used as ‘green’ solvents since they contain low VOC, are plant based and are readily biodegradable. As a result, they are also non-volatile and non-toxic. They are often used to replace environmentally non-friendly solvents.

Methyl esters find applications in various fields as Surfactants and detergents, Industrial lubricants, in Metal working fluids, Agrochemicals, etc.

SSPL Offers high purity grades of the following fatty acid methyl esters:

      • CAS No: 110-42-9
    • METHYL LAURATE (C12)
      • CAS No: 111-82-0
        INCI Name: Methyl laurate
    • METHYL LAURATE / MYRISTATE (C12 /C14)
