  • Biodegradable: Often derived from sustainable, plant-based ingredients.
  • Compatibility: Works well with other surfactants in balanced formulations.
  • Foam Quality: Produces creamy, stable foam that enhances the sensory experience.

SSPL offers variety of mild surfactants such as Amido Betaines, Alkyl Betaines, Sultaines, Sulfosuccinates, Sulfo acetates, Carboxylates and Amine Oxides.

  • Amido Betaines

    • Amido Betaines are mild amphoteric surfactants derived from natural feed stocks. These are known for their foam-boosting, conditioning effect, and excellent compatibility with other surfactants, and are widely used in personal care and cleaning formulations like foam baths, liquid soaps, shower gels and hand cleaners.

SSPL offers high active and Ultra Concentrated Betaines.

  • Alkyl betaines

    • Alkyl Betaines are amphoteric surfactants derived from fatty alkyl groups, such as cetyl (C16) or stearyl (C18) chains.
    • Alkyl Betaines are known for their mildness, conditioning properties, and excellent compatibility with other surfactants, making them a versatile ingredient in personal care and industrial applications.
    • Alkyl betaines are used in shampoos, bath products, and cleansing agents, shower gels, bath foam, liquid soaps.
    • They provide copious foam and increase the viscosity of formulations

SSPL offers Cetyl Betaine and Stearly Betaine.

  • Sulfosuccinates

    • These are mono (half esters) or diesters of sulfosuccinic acid.
    • Excellent wetting and solubilising agents.
    • Mild surfactant, can be used for infant formulations.
    • Sulfate free, low irritancy to skin and eye.
    • Used variously in shampoos and bath additives, rug cleaning, dry cleaning and emulsification depending on the kind of ester employed.
    • Provides creamy texture as well as copious foaming in product, resulting in a luxurious product use and post use feel.
    • SSPL offers lauryl and laureth sulfosuccinates

  • Sulfoacetates

    • CAS No: 1847-58-1
    • INCI name: Sodium lauryl sulfoacetate
    • Foaming, wetting and emulsifying agent.
    • It is mild and is used in bubble baths, shampoos, cleansing creams.
    • Often used in combination with sulfosuccinates and sarcosinates.
    • SSPL offers lauryl sulfoacetate.

  • Amine oxides

    • Excellent foaming and foam boosting agents. Generate creamy foam.
    • In combination with other anionics they decrease irritation potential, increase viscosity and result in greater surface activity
    • Reduce irritancy of Zinc pyrithane when used in shampoos
    • SSPL offers the following amine oxides:
    • Lauryl amine oxide
    • Myristyl amine oxide

Fatty Amido Propyl Amine Oxide (CAPAO/LAPAO)

    • Foam boosting and conditioning effect
    • Used in personal care, household, industrial and institutional cleaning and specialty foaming applications
    • Peroxide and bleach stable amphoteric surfactant
    • Thickening, bactericidal and emulsifying properties
    • Environment friendly
    • SSPL offers coco and lauramido propyl amine oxide

  • Sultaine (Sulfobetaines)

    Sultaines (Sulfobetaines)

    • are amphoteric surfactants with a sulfonate group in their molecular structure, offering excellent mildness, foaming properties, and compatibility. Derived from fatty acids or alkyl chains, sultaines are widely used in personal care and cleaning formulations for their superior performance in enhancing product stability and gentleness.
    • SSPL's Sultaine grades are derived from natural raw materials and are readily biodegradable.

  • Carboxylates

    • Carboxylates are surfactants with the hydrophilic (ionic) group being a carboxyl group, -COOH. SSPL offers ester as well as ethoxy carboxylates.
    • They are good foaming agents and can be used in cosmetics and personal care products.
